Boehler has fulfilled a life long dream. "I may not be rich
and famous, but if I die tomorrow, I will have done something I
have wanted to do since I was a little girl," said Boehler.
Boehler headed to Nashville in March after corresponding with Manager
Steve Ivey to make a CD. Ivey, an independent record producer signed
Boehler on the spot. From there Cindy went to work picking out the
songs for the CD. Ivey insisted that she write six of her own songs
and choose six more to sing. Cindy headed home to write three more
songs.
On the second trip to Nashville, Boehler made the rough tracks.
The couple decided what direction each song would take and recorded
them.
The third trip
down to Nashville, Boehler met her back up singers, the Jordanaires.
"This was a very overwhelming experience" said Boehler.
The Jordanaires are the most recorded voices in the history of music.
The group sang back up for Elvis and Patsy
Cline just to name a few. The Jordanaires recorded
their back up voices to Boehler's tracks and finally the band recorded
their portion to the tracks. Everything is done digitally and is
"very high tech" according to Boehler.
The fourth trip
to Nashville Boehler found herself in the studio three full days
recording the remainder of the songs.
The fifth and
final trip included adding background vocals to the songs Cindy
wrote along with any "fixes" that were needed. From there
the final mixing took place.
The CDs will
be on sale November 4th at the Tassel in Holdrege. The Jordanaires
will be traveling to Nebraska to join Boehler at the Tassel for
a concert presentation.
"This was
a once in a lifetime opportunity; I really enjoyed listening to
the Jordanaires stories and visiting with them" commented Boehler.
While recording with the Jordanaires, they commented they had not
been to Nebraska for a long time and it would be fun to come again.
Boehler jumped on the chance to invite them and went to work organizing
a concert performance. General admission tickets well be available
along with special packages that will allow you tickets to "Meet
and Greet" the Jordanaires prior to the show.
The CD produced
by Boehler will offer Bluegrass Gospel. Included on the CD is her
Mom's favorite gospel song, "Life's Railway to Heaven."
KRVN's Big Al Weekly will release a song from the CD on September
24, during the Bluegrass Show. The program can be heard Sunday mornings
from 8 - 12 on 880 am radio.
Boehler felt,"This
was God's will. Everything happened too easily. This is something
I have wanted to do since I was a little girl. It's a dream of a
lifetime".
