God's Greatest Gift to Me

I would like to thank everyone for all of the support, prayers and sincere encouragement you have all been giving me over the past several months as I have been realizing a life long dream. When I started this adventure in January, I would have never believed that I would realize so many of the dreams I have held in my heart. Since I was a young girl, as young as 9 or 10, I have asked God constantly to help me find a way to fully express my talents as a singer. I never expected for Him to wait as long as He did to give me the opportunities to do so, but realize now I could have never written the music that I did for this project any earlier in life. He knew I needed the life experiences to succeed at this and the patience that makes one humble when they finally are given what they have been asking for throughout a lifetime.

Many of you don't know that your prayers actually saved my life on my very first return trip home. As I was leaving Nashville that morning, I checked the weather forecast and found that I could possibly be facing some very severe weather issues on my way home. I thought and prayed about it, and almost didn't call Gale that morning before I left for home to have the congregation keep me in their prayers. I specifically told him I knew I would be facing very severe weather issues and I needed to be held up in prayer. That evening, after being re-routed twice from I-70 because of tornado damage, I was caught in the full brunt of a tornado in Pettis County, MO. Nearly every vehicle in front of me had it's windows blown out on the south side and several people were injured, some I believe fatally after hearing the news reports, when semi-trailers were folded over on top of cars filled with passengers. I can only believe it was because of the intervention of all of my church families' prayers that I had guardian angels surrounding my truck. My most heartfelt thanks don't seem to be enough, but they are all I have to offer.

There have been many times when it seemed too tough to finish this project, and daily more challenges seem to arise. I know that there are still many of you who are holding me up in prayer and I thank you and also everyone else who has gone out of their way to send a card or tell me how excited they are for me. I could have chosen any type of music to record on this CD, but because of God's great gift, this will be a Gospel/Bluegrass project in honor of God and my dear mother who taught me to love Jesus as a child.

Thank You all so much!
